In today’s post I am talking about two of the best selling products from her skincare line. The brand PR kindly send me two products to try and I must say, I am truly impressed!
When it comes to skincare and other bath and body luxuries – I am extremely choosy and I tend to look out for the options that are free from parabens and other harmful chemicals etc. I always love organic skincare products. For holiday 2017, I was given this Travel Gift Set by the wonderful Ma Earth Botanicals team and I must say that I am super impressed with their products.
Established in 2013, Ma Earth Botanicals is a skincare and haircare organisation based in New Delhi, INDIA handcrafting a luxury line of products using pure aromatherapy oils and the natural blessings of Mother Earth. All of their products are handcrafted and contain no artificial ingredients, chemical preservatives, synthetic additives, artificial fragrances, SLES, parabens and sulphates. Made using highest quality 100% pure essential oils, sustainably sourced vegetable oils and unrefined butters that are cold pressed to preserve their natural goodness and healing properties. None of Ma’s products are tested on fellow animals.
This is the travel set that I got. This is different from the product that is listed on their website. Because, I customised my set to contain some of the products that I wanted to try from the brand. Here is a list of products that I received in this travel gift set

This travel box retails for INR 975 and is a great discover set to gift to yourself or your loved one. The packaging is quite fancy. The beautiful pet bottle with the golden lid adds beauty to it.
First thing that I noticed is how pretty that gift packaging is. With a Peach+Black gift box, The overall set is a minimalist design.
Body Oil – Neroli & Ylang Ylang – INR 975 for 7.7 fl.oz/230 ml is a very light weight nourishing body oil rich in antioxidants and vitamins carefully formulated with healing and uplifting essential oils of Neroli and Ylang Ylang. Its ideal for all skin types. It’s best used as a after bath oil
Key Ingredients: Oryza sativa (Rice Bran oil), Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond oil), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower oil), Ricinus communis (Castor oil), Vitamin E, Essential oils of Neroli and Ylang Ylang
I so love the aroma of this one. It’s so relaxing and uplifts your mood instantly. I love the warming notes of Ylang Ylang that lasts the whole day. The oil is not greasy. It absorbs pretty quick and the fragrance feel very natural. Not overpowering. As you can read from the ingredients – It’s a beautiful mix of several oils along with essential oils Neroli and Ylang Ylang.
Hair Cleanser – INR 975 for 7.7 fl.oz/230 ml is a gentle shampoo. It has a Sulphate-free formulation that is perfect for all types of hair. It’s a unique blend of natural herbs and oils which deeply clean and nourish the scalp.
Ritha promotes hair growth, softens hair and removes excess oil.
Bhringraj helps strengthen hair and encourage hair growth.
Shikakai gently cleans and strengthens hair.
Jojoba oil is the only oil whose molecular structure is similar to sebum and hence it helps maintain the scalp’s natural balance. It also adds shine, elasticity and softness to hair.
Rosemary helps stimulate hair roots and encourage hair growth, it is also know for its stress relieving properties.
Cedarwood and Thyme are well-known for their strong anti-bacterial qualities and help promote hair growth.
To use this product, You have to mix one capful of hair cleanser in one capful of half cup water and massage lightly onto wet hair. Continue to massage for one-two minutes. Rinse well and follow with conditioner.

I like it as a everyday shampoo. As I have a medium thick hair- I got about 4 washes from this 50 ml bottle. I like the smell of this one.
Because of it’s mix of medicinal ingredients – I find it smelling as natural ever! The mix of Reetha, Shiakai, Amla etc. Very natural. It’s a gel like shampoo and It doesn’t lather much like the commercial shampoo. But, does pretty good job in cleansing the scalp and taking away all dirt etc. Hair felt bouncy, soft and it gave good volume to hair after washing which I really liked. I felt my scalp clean. NO itchiness or any hair fall issues etc.
Rose Water Toner – INR 775 for 7.7 fl.oz/230 ml of product is a steam distilled, gentle and natural alcohol-free Rose Water, helps calm, refresh and balance all skin types. Brand claims that it helps hydrate skin, tighten pores and remove surface impurities without drying the skin. Especially beneficial in polluted and humid environments.
All you need is spritz onto face after cleaning or just to refresh anytime during the day or night. I like how natural this one is. There is no overpowering smell or any colorants or fragrances or other harmful chemicals added to this. It didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
I used it right after cleansing. I soaked a cotton pad in this and swiped it all over my face. it feels very fresh when using this. Love it.

Coconut Lime Shower Gel – INR 1450 for 16.9 fl.oz/500 ml is a mild body wash which is Sulphate-free and suits all skin types.
Free from SLES, Parabens and Petrochemicals, this gel is especially formulated to gently cleanse, moisturize and rejuvenate skin without stripping its natural oils.
It’s a perfect tropical summer shower gel. Coconut oil naturally high in fatty acids and proteins, helps keep skin smooth and retain the moisture content of skin. Lime essential oil has an invigorating and stimulating effect on the senses. Vegetable based Glycerin naturally hydrates and rejuvenated skin.

It’s not a best product in my opinion. I Think the ingredient list has non natural items as well. Consistency of the product is gel like, little runny in consistency and it lathers pretty well.
The refreshing citrusy note instantly uplifts your mood too! Scent doesn’t linger for long. But, it’s very refreshing when using it. It cleanses the skin very well and at the same time leaves the skin supple and soft. For winters, You will need a extra layer of moisture for your body.
Overall, This gift set along with others here are a perfect gift choice to your mom, sister or loved one.
Overall, a excellent gift choice to anyone. If I am to repurchase any product from this lot- It would be the Ylang Ylang and Neroli Body Oil. You can check other gift box option here

Hello my makeupholics. This is a long requested review from me. Ever since I posted my Maybelline haul on Instagram, You guys were asking me to swatch it and review it. Let me be honest, This was one of those collection that I blindly ordered without even reading its reviews. Ever since this collection got launched Internationally, I was really excited to try them. Especially the packaging really attracted me.
Gigi Hadid x Maybelline collaboration is really awesome. Maybelline hosted this entire event really different from other brands that just showcase or features a model for any new collection they are launching. Most brands, hire a ‘super model’ or a ‘super blogger’ – make them the face of the campaign and do no activity or any other events. Most of the times- blogger or the model herself have no idea about the product or formulation or even the shades.
Gigi Hadid x Maybelline collaboration was an exception in that matter. I have been seeing in foreign bloggers feeds and blogs – On how Maybelline team got them all together with Gigi Hadid and conduct makeup master class for all editors and influencers and take them through the entire process right from what was the inspiration to create the products. This creation is divided into two – West Coast Collection & East Coast Collection.
West Coast – Sunkissed and sultry, this glowing makeup collection is inspired by the warm Cali vibes of Gigi Hadid’s hometown.
East Coast – Fresh, bold, fierce. It is all about the cat eye in this city chic makeup look inspired by Gigi’s home away from home, New York City
From this collection that got launched in India – I picked 4 lipsticks, One Liquid Liner and a Fiber Mascara. Though You girls can see a brow pencil in the pictures. It was given away by me as a gift to my cousin.
Lipstick in the shades – Erin, Mccall, Taura along with Liquid Eye Liner & Mascara belong to East Coast Collection ; This collection has more products launched internationally. You can check the full collection here

I picked all these products from Nykaa. Now, let me take you to the actual review of the products
MAYBELLINE GIGI HADID MATTE LIPSTICK – INR 500 EACH
There are a total of 6 STATEMENT MATTE LIPSTICKS – GORGEOUS RED AND NUDE LIP COLOURS to achieve beautiful-looking lips with a CREAMY MATTE-FINISH. I decided to pick 4 colors from this range – LANI, AUSTYN, KHAIR & ERIN.
Packaging – Packaging is fabulous.The Peach and the duochrome packaging make them look so luxurious. Bullet is very sturdy, a peachy-powdery pink color bullet, has a holographic print and Gigi’s signature. Looks super pretty and It’s one of the best packaging I have ever seen for a drugstore brand.
Love the packaging. Now, I never tried regular maybelline lipsticks ; So I don’t know how this compares to that of regular packaging. The shade numbers and shade names including the color sticker that represents the shade is present on the bullet.
Formula, Pigmentation , Shade – I wouldn’t say these lipsticks are completely matte. Lipsticks have a creamy texture. They apply very easily. The shade ‘Lani’ was sheer when applying. But, within 2-3 swipes I got the desired pigmentation.
I would describe the formula as a creamy sort of a satiny matte finish. The shades Austyn, Khair etc are highly pigmented and only need single or 2 swipes. Formula felt comfortable on lips. When I applied ; the moment I swiped on my lips – I could feel a fruit sort of a fragrance that faded super quick. Lipsticks, as they are not fully matte – The formula is definitely not transfer proof and smudge proof. They transfer very easily.
If you do not blot them – It can transfer to cups, glasses etc. My tip is to dab little bit of loose powder over the tissue paper kept on top of lips and this way you can make them appear matte as well as transfer proof. Shade range is pretty cool.
Lani – is a orange red shade. it looks very pretty on cool undertones.
Erin – Is a mauve nude shade. Veryunique shade. If you remember ‘ Privte Party’ from MAC; it’s similar to that or “Hot Chocolate’ lipstick by MAC is similar.
Austyn – Austyn is my favorite shade from this range. It’s a red with blue undertones and definitely brightens up your complexion. It makes your teeth appear whiter as well.
Khair – Khair is a very pretty red. I love this color on warmer skintones. very pretty.
Though the shades are beautiful and they are not long lasting. It lasted about 6 hours on me. The shade ‘Lani’ tend to transfer easily. So, definitely, you might have to blot your lips if you are applying it. The other shades ‘Khair, Erin and Austyn are gorgeous on Indian skintones. I haven’t tried normal Maybelline lipsticks and so I can’t compare how the formula of this Gigi Hadid ones compare to those.

Next comes my favorite product from this range.
Maybelline Gigi Hadid Fiber Mascara : Black – INR 699
This is a dual-ended mascara with fibers on one side and mascara on the other. It creates a lengthy, volumizing effect for lashes.. Coat the lashes in a jet black color, and swipe on the loose fibers to help build a dramatic length. I don’t prefer wearing false lashes.
First, you apply one coat of mascara as usual, then you simply brush on the tiny white fibers in opposite end of the tube, This builds your natural l lashes before you seal them with one another coat of mascara. Caution – Please don’t brush the fibers onto your bare lashes, You need to touch them on lashes. Else, It might fall into your eyes.

Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Liquid Liner Pen : Black – INR 499
I like this one as it has a flexible thin tip liner and it was super easy to draw liner using this one. I went for swimming wearing this and it didn’t transfer/fade – So, I ‘d say these are definitely water resistant. I wish they had more colors of this liquid pen liner.

6) Shesha Naturals Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
The main difference between regular coconut oil and virgin coconut oil lies in their processes of extraction. While the former is extracted by cold compression or cold milling of Copra (another name for dried Coconut kernels) with a moisture content of around six percent, the latter is extracted from the coconut milk obtained from fresh coconuts. Thereafter, using processes such as fermentation, churning (centrifugal separation), refrigeration, and the action of enzymes, the oil is separated from the water or moisture. However, in the case of virgin coconut oil, the raw materials and the process of extraction should not allow any involvement of heat.

The summery, citrusy scent makes it my favorite summer scent. I love bergamot. Very pleasant and a refreshing note. I love the packaging as well.
