Nars lipstick – Schiap

“Money can’t buy love but it can buy lipstick” these are my favorite lines whenever I thought to buy a lipstick that is much costly than the usual one….of course it is kind of boosting up or giving excuses to myself without making me feel guilty that I brought a lipstick which is cost more than 1k 😛

Nars stands just second position after Mac when it comes about lipstick but although a Nars lipstick is much costlier than Mac but I the “back 2 Mac’ concept makes me push to buy mac only…well, that’s another story let’s concentrate or move on to today’s post….

Nars  schiap was on my wish list from the very first day I saw the swatches online on some foreign blog but as Nars is not available in India so I have to wait pretty long time to get it until I saw the offer on strawberrynet.com where it was priced approx. 1780 INR [ $ 27]…and after seeing it that I would get in some discount of 3% on the total as per loyalty program on that site I ordered it without second thought and it reached me just a week before.

What does the brand claim
A pure, creamy lipstick formula for bold color.

Nars Lipsticks are enriched with vitamin E to increase wearability and keep true color intact. Sheer finish creates the most natural, stained-looking lips. Semi-matte produces velvety, full-bodied lips. Finally, satin fashions creamy, moist-looking lips.

Packaging
Nars lipstick comes in matte black square case which is really unique in shape and for this it is really easy to detect the lipstick in the stash due to its unique packaging. The lipstick is although pricey but it comes in little more in quantity compare to mac lipstick.

The lipstick shade is described as a bright fuchsia. There are many pinks that I really love but this kind of warm toned blue based pink always suits me so well. The texture is semi-matte for which it glides on lips easily without tugging and pulling. The lipstick is little bit mixture of matte and sheen which when applied on lips turns to give a satin finish on lips and it stays 5 hours on my lips before fading. Yes the lipstick survive heavy meal if proper lining of lips is done with the nude lipliner first and then a pink lipliner followed by the lipstick. The lipstick is pigmented, one swipe is enough to cover the lips but it might require 2-3 swipes for deeply pigmented lips. The shade is really pretty. It immediately brightens up my face. Nars lipsticks claim it has no smell and no taste but I feel a slight waxy smell in it which disappears after few minutes of application. Over in all the lipstick is just perfect for summers.

Cons

Speaking frankly, Availability is the big issue otherwise it is a great lipstick.

Dupe alert: Nars lipstick Schiap is pretty close to Mac girl about town and little bit same with Mac candy yum yum but texture wise Nars is little better than Mac girl about town but lesser  than Mac candy yum yum.
