Now, Coming onto the product category – ‘TONERS’ are one of the essential skincare product and ‘TONING’ is an important skincare routine step that one must never skip at all. Toner helps maintain clear and healthy skin. Toner is such an easy way to maintain clarity and restore skin’s balance. After all, all it takes is a few swipes of a cotton pad to clear those dead skin cells and pore-clogging impurities thereby restoring your skin’s natural oil etc

Also, regular CTM routine helps shrinks the appearance of pores – Toners tighten and cleanse your pores, which means less residue, dirt and oil to get in and cause acne, or other skin irritations.

Below are two of my most favorites when it comes to toners. 

Pixi Glow Tonic and Pixi Rose Tonic

Pixi Glow Tonic

PIXI Glow Tonic is an exfoliating toner that helps to firm and tighten normal to dry, dull and ageing skin. The brightening tonic removes dead skin cells, leaving skin healthy and radiant-looking. Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid, it hydrates the skin whilst Aloe Vera and Ginseng help to nourish during and treat. Expect a smooth and glowing complexion.It’s suitable for all skin types and is free from alcohol.

Ingredients

Water/Aqua/Eau, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Seed Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Urea, Dextrin, Alanine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Hexyl Nicotinate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Biotin, Panthenol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Caramel, Red 4 (CI 14700).

To use – After cleansing or washing your face. Saturate a cotton round with the Glow Tonic and sweep across face, neck and décolletage (avoiding the eye area). Follow with a serum or moisturizer of your choice.

I am using this toner since so many years now. I absolutely love it. With regular use – I certainly see a big difference on the pores. Pores look more refined, and I’d see old acne scars fading and overall skin looked more even toned. My skin is better everyday and my makeup looks more even. I think I am never going to change this toner at all. Now, There are a lot of acid toners in the market. Depending on your skin tolerance you may choose the select the one you want and also decide how many times per week you want to use them. Infact, when I started using Pixi, I did use it only a few  times in the week initially and gradually I started to use it more often. It certainly does have an exfoliating effect on skin as well.

FREE from oil and alcohol, Glow Tonic is suitable for both combination and dry skin types. Exfoliates gently, soothes the skin, brightens skin tone, reduces hyperpigmentation. Particularly, if you are someone whose skin is congested and have larger pores, You are most likely to see faster results and reduction in the size of pores etc as the glycolic acid gently exfoliates and clarifies the skin. However, glycolic can make skin more prone to sun damage. Be sure to use a sunscreen while stepping out during day time. I recommend to use this only at night especially during summers. 

Pixi Rose Tonic

I love to use it during day time and glow tonic at night.
