Most of my weekdays are packed up with meetings and only Sunday can be considered my weekend. On Sundays, I mostly go out with friends, do some shopping or a quiet dinner date with him. I rarely get time to go to a salon or a relaxing spa.
I love body and skin pampering sessions at salons and for a person with busy schedule like mine, Naturals products come to rescue. I was sent few products from this Indian brand called Ma Earth Botanicals. I have shared my thoughts about them here. After using products from this brand, I decided to buy some of their other products. Especially, massage oils and a Lavender based facial scrub immediately caught my attention. If you are regular reader of my blog, You guys might already know by this time how I love ‘Lush Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser’. Anything Lavender is so of my liking and I decided to try these two massage oils along with a facial scrub from them.
Talking about the price point, I felt it’s tad lil more expensive than what I’d normally spend for the same kind of product from another brand variant. But, the product descriptions and destress properties totally got me hooked. In this post, I will be sharing my experiences about these two products.
I picked up the following
- Traveller’s Fatigue Massage Oil – INR 1375 for 3.4oz / 100ml
- Relaxing Massage Oil – INR 1375 for 3.4oz / 100ml
- Lavender Facial Scrub – INR 425 for 1.4oz / 40g
Although our feet do a lot of work, they are the least pampered part of our body. A soothing and relaxing foot massage will help the body unwind, improve blood circulation and relax the nerves.
Reflexology is an ancient healing practice based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to body’s different organs and glands. These points are located on the soles, ankles, toes and upper part of the foot. In reflexology, pressure is applied to special areas on the feet with specific thumb, finger or hand techniques.
Foot reflexology massage means stimulating and applying pressure to these reflexes on the feet.

Lavender Facial Scrub – INR 425 for 1.4oz / 40g
I had very high expectations about this product. First of all, let me say the packaging is very simple – a round tub with a screw lid and a plastic stopper. Inside you get, 40 g or facial scrub; I felt this product is overpriced.
I didn’t like this facial scrub much. I felt it to be very normal. I was expecting this to smell of Lavenders. However, I’d only get a faint smell of Lavender. I didn’t like it and once mixed with rose water or normal milk to make a paste consistency to apply on face, I din’t like the feel of it on my face. I was not feeling any exfoliation effect. Neither did I like this as a mask. No miraculous results. I don’t recommend you get this scrub.
How to use – Mix one teaspoon with rose water or milk to form a wet paste. Using circular upward movements, gently scrub the paste over your face and neck, avoiding the eyes. Its best to leave on as a mask for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry,
Key Ingredients:
Avena sativa (Oats), Lavandula angustifolia (English Lavender), Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond), Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) nut shells, Silybum Marianum (Milk), Lavandula (Lavender) essential oil, Pelargonium (Geranium) essential oil
Here are two pictures below where I have mixed with rose water and water to make a paste.
I think there are better facial scrubs in the market. This is totally not of my preference.
Both the massage oils sound really good for a mini pamper session at home.
