An eye shadow palette with highly pigmented mattes, chrome pressed pearls, and 3D metal shades in an exclusive Rose Gold Edition – Yes, As you read from the title, it’s the HUDA Beauty Rose Gold Edition Eyeshadow Palette. Beauty guru and entrepreneur Huda Kattan blends her makeup expertise and with this debut Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Gold Edition. The very moment Huda announced the release of this palette, I started dreaming about this. The colors looked so attractive. Just like all the color range that we dream to own.
There have been mixed reviews about this palette. I was so confused between this and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario. Now, It was so hard to get this palette. It got sold out very quick and during sephora release, I got this for myself. In this post, I am going to shout out my first impressions about this palette.
Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Gold Edition – $65.00
This palette contains:
– 6 x 0.035 oz/ 0.99 g 3D Metal eye shadow in Dubai (smoky bronze), Fling (sparkly cranberry), 24K (lavish gold), Rose Gold (rose gold), Trust Fund (ritzy copper), Blessed (vintage gold)
– 2 x 0.035 oz/ 0.99 g Chromatic pressed pearls eye shadow in Angelic (sweet pink with gold reflections), Moon Dust (astral gold illumination)
– 10 x 0.035 oz/ 0.99 g Saturated Matte eye shadow in Bossy (bold maroon clay), Flamingo (dashing pink), Shy (delicate dusty pink), BAE (cream-colored base), Black Truffle (decadent black), Suede (smooth transition gray), Coco (bark brown), Maneater (ruthless mulberry), Henna (warm reddish-brown), Sandalwood (earthy deep tan)
Packaging – This palette comes in a cardboard case packaging. It features the signature eye logo similar to eye lashes in this palette. Also has eye palette name in gold accents and has gold eye shadow on the eye logo. Huda Beauty logo is printed too. Almost look like a slim Z palette. Case is light weight, however, not very sturdy. Also, I don’t find the overall packaging very luxurious or appealing. I like ABH palette cases more as they look more luxurious and are sturdy. Definitely not travel friendly. For the price and the hype – I wish the package was more sturdy.
Shade, Formula, Pigmentation – Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Gold Edition is a very versatile palette and it allows you to create endless eye makeup variations that you can rock both day as well as night. This palette has shadows of 3 types of finishes – matte, pressed pearl, metal textured
3D Metal eye shadow in Dubai (smoky bronze), Fling (sparkly cranberry), 24K (lavish gold), Rose Gold (rose gold), Trust Fund (ritzy copper), Blessed (vintage gold)
Chromatic pressed pearls eye shadow in Angelic (sweet pink with gold reflections), Moon Dust (astral gold illumination)
Saturated Matte eye shadow in Bossy (bold maroon clay), Flamingo (dashing pink), Shy (delicate dusty pink), BAE (cream-colored base), Black Truffle (decadent black), Suede (smooth transition gray), Coco (bark brown), Maneater (ruthless mulberry), Henna (warm reddish-brown), Sandalwood (earthy deep tan)
In one glance – One’ll immediately fall in love with the shade. Such awesome shade selection to match all your festivals + special occasions.
Formula – Let me talk about metal textured shades first – They are very creamy and is difficult to pick using a brush. I use my fingers to apply the shades – Dubai , Fling , 24K, Rose Gold , Trust Fund & Blessed. They are my favorite finish in this palette and these shades are what that makes this palette special. They apply beautiful on eyelids and is perfect for cut crease looks. Pigmentation is amazing!
Pressed Pearl finish shades – Angelic, Moon Dust. These two shades have fine shimmers to them. Again blends very easily. Feels silky soft on eyes.
Now, the final ones, the matte finish shades – Bossy , Flamingo, Shy, BAE , Black Truffle, Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna & Sandalwood. I have heard a lot of people complaining about these shades. But I find them to be perfect. They apply beautifully with brush and has velvety smooth texture and pigmentation is awesome too.
Now, the million dollar question – What about fall outs ? with the metal textured eye shadows– It’s a little difficult to blend the edges and while doing- I noticed one or two fall out of the shade. If you pack and press the shade to the eyelid- It doesn’t move. However, blending of edges is slightly difficult.
With the pearl finish shades – I noticed no fallouts. The shade Angelic is one of my favorite shade. Matte finish shades feels velvety smooth and is easy to pack the color too. Also, blending is super easy.
Longevity – The shades doesn’t crease or fade on my eyelids. The shades lasted for a long time upto 8 hours or so. I can’t wait to try more looks using this palette. I only tried and tested the shades – Angelic, Rosegold, Bossy, Cocoa, Black Truffle, Sandalwood so far.

Value – Is it worth $65.00 ?
Well, This palette is $65.00 that makes it so expensive. Plus not all countries have Sephora. Huda Beauty does fast international shipping. but, shipping costs are high. If you are eye shadow lover and love playing with colors and like to try different formulas and finishes – you will love this.
About the overall worth – I think ABH Mario palette and ABH Modern Renaissance palette would be better choices for the quantity of eye shadows you get for the price and also considering overall points in terms of packaging, ease of use ( attached mirror, little or no fallouts) etc. I have no regrets buying this and I am happy with the quality too. For travelling, I carry it in my spongy travel wallet that safeguards this palette. Also, I would buy ABH Mario palette soon. That’s in my wishlist next.
Hope you all liked the review and the look I created using this palette.
Beautiful look! Love the makeup, you look so pretty :-*
