I am always obsessed for MAC’s Limited Edition collections; one reason is because When growing up as a girl with endless passion towards makeup, The one brand I always heard from the big girls and my cousins was “MAC”. As a teenager, I used to dream of buying and owning this ever wonderful brand’s products some day. Though MAC tops my list when it comes to makeup. I also think I am more inclined towards MAC’s limited edition collections more than any other brands new launches could also be because of the fact that MAC does this dreamy packaging each season. This Summer’s Vibe Tribe Collection is no exception to that, with its colourful motif-inspired packaging (The colorful Aztec prints) and natural, wearable shades. I couldn’t resist myself from picking two of this lovely blushes. You might have already read my review on Hot Chocolate lipstick from this collection.
Well, in this review – I am talking about Blushes – Modern Mandarin & Painted Canyon
MAC VIBE TRIBE COLLECTION BLUSH – MODERN MANDARIN, PAINTED CANYON – USD $23.00 each / INR 2000 each
Price – USD $23.00 or INR 2000 each ; This Limited Edition Collection is available online and in counters till stocks last. As with every other limited edition MAC collections, the prices of each product are slightly higher than their regular packaged counterparts. So, be ready to shell out some extra dollars for this collection as well. I meant, Why not- If something that doesn’t look boring like the regular packaging and if it looks cute on your vanity table. Go for it girls!! <3
Packaging – The Mac Vibe Tribe Powder Blushes provides colour with ease and consistency. It comes in a special packaging with graphic geometric patterns woven in eye-catching hues. Some people might not like the fact that you can’t see the product inside because the lid is painted opaque.
Vibe Tribe Collection includes a bunch of gorgeous options for cheeks—including three Powder Blushes, a golden yellow Cream Color Base and a luminous Gleamtones Powder.
I picked the powder blushes – Modern Mandarin & Painted Canyon

MAC Painted Canyon Powder Blush
Painted Canyon Powder Blush, limited edition – ‘Painted Canyon’ Blush is described as a Mid Tone Coral with a Satin finish.
Shade, Texture, Pigmentation – This is a mid-tone coral shade with a satin finish and is incredibly pigmented. The texture of this powder blush is very finely milled. It’s very intense, a little really does go a long way; make sure to tap off any excess from your blush brush. The shade is a stunning red based coral that gives such a really beautiful flush of color to the cheeks. Non streaky and super easy to blend.
Longevity – long lasting. Lasted the whole day without fading on my cheek. I have a warmer skintone (NC40) and this works awesome on my skin.

MAC Modern Mandarin Powder Blush
Modern Mandarin Powder Blush, limited edition – ‘Modern Mandarin’ Blush is described as a Red Orange with a Satin finish.
Shade, Texture, Pigmentation – This is a Red Orange shade with a frost finish and is incredibly pigmented. yes, Even though MAC describes this as Satin – I find it more of a frost finish one. But fairs well for softer looks as well. The texture of this powder blush is very finely milled. It’s very intense, a little really does go a long way; make sure to tap off any excess from your blush brush. The shade is more of orange hues and make sure you test it on your skintone before buying. it didn’t emphasize pores or anything and was easy to blend too.
Longevity – long lasting. Lasted the whole day without fading. I have a love-hate relationship with this blush. Out of the two I picked – Painted Canyon is my favorite.

Overall, These blushes are long wearing, easy to blend and apply. Painted Canyon has a satin finish and Modern Mandarin is more of a frost finish. It comes in a special packaging with graphic geometric patterns woven in eye-catching hues. Some people might not like the fact that you can’t see the product inside because the lid is painted opaque. I love them and Painted Canyon is my favorite.
