Ultra Lip Colors are the newest lipstick range from Tom Ford Soleil Collection priced at USD $55.00 each. These are packaged in the white and gold bullets. Gives a classy feel! Well, It’s Tom Ford. It speaks luxury.

Formula & Longevity
Tom Ford Soleil Collection – Ultra-Rich Lip Color formula is more creamy with a full coverage and is very hydrating on lips as well. I noticed that they are really hydrating on lips. They easily glide on to the lips and the formula, on application feel somewhere between a lip color and a sheer lip balm. The color is not really sheer but the colour payoff is stronger than your average tinted lip balm.It feels soft and smooth while applying and the coverage is sheer-medium. Even if you layer the color, It doesn’t feel heavy at all.  It covers most of dry flakiness on lips. Lasting power is quite impressive – Without budging or fading, It lasted for upto 5 hours on my lips ( Except for the shade – Solar Affair which transfers and fades after eating or drinking)

Temptation Waits is a medium brown shade. The press sample I received was labelled ‘Sex Oyster’. I checked with the Tom Ford PR team. They changed the name to ‘Temptation Waits’. The coverage is medium – full. This is one of the most pigmented colors from this range. It’s not a pure brown. It has a rose tint to it. But, It’s lovely on every skintone.  This is my favorite from this range.

Solar Affair is a peachy-coral shade. This color appears warm orange on my NC40 skin color. I am not a fan of coral shades. But this one is lovely. Sadly the color transfers and fades after eating or drinking.

Aphrodite is a fuchsia color. It’s a universally flattering shade. My second favorite shade.

Overall, The formula is a winner in my opinion. if you are looking for light weight- sumemr friendly lip colors that are quite moisturising as well – These are definitely worth checking out. TOM FORD Ultra-Rich Lip Colors has a soft and creamy consistency which easily glide on the lips. It has a shine which makes them less opaque than the regular Lip Colors. Ultra-Rich Lip Colors are now available at all TOM FORD Counters now for $52 each. My top 2 favorite shades include Aphrodite & Temptation Waits. There are a total of 6 shades in this collection.

Tom Ford Soleil Collection Moisturecore Lip Colors – Otranto, Cala Di Volpe –  $55 each

Tom Ford Moisturecore Lip Color are two innovative formulas in one single product. In its center is a liquid core infused with passion fruit oil that provides luxurious moisture in a pink pop of color throughout every shade. A luminous lip color encases the core, infused with a blend a melon fruit extract, murumuru butter and plant-derived esters that help condition lips. Each shade is sprinkled with subtle golden pearl to complement bronzed, summer skin. The soft veil of lightweight color lasts for hours. They are priced at $55 each.

Packaging
Packaging is same as Ultra Rich Colors except the size of the bullet. Moisturecore lip colors come in a slim twist up tube. The center of each lip color is identical which is a sheer pink color that blends seamlessly with the outer colors of each tube.

Formula, Coverage
These are moisturising on lips. I received two shades – Otranto & Cala Di Volpe. Both shades are really pretty. My favorite is Otranto. Both the shades are easy to apply and coverage is medium. which is buildable. It feels very light weight on lips even if you layer the color.

Longevity
Lasting powder is medium for these formulas. In general, any lipstick that has a shine sort of finish usually don’t last as long as a matte or long-wear lipstick but the Moisturecore Lip Colors still last a relatively long time than the traditional lipstick.

There are a total of 6 colors in this range.

Cala di Volpe – looks like a pretty coppery shade on the bullet. However, on applying it looks orangey on my lips..

Otranto – My favorite shade. It’s a plum shade that is perfect as a day-wear shade. I love how it looks on me. very very pretty. Both the shades lasted for about 4 hours on my lips.

Overall, Moisturecore Lip Colors – Otranto & Cala di Volpe are wearable colors. I love Otranto more. Cala di Volpe is not something I would prefer to wear. As I said earlier. I am not  coral/orange lip color fan. I really don’t see that moisturecore lip colors have enough noticeable benefits to justify the higher price tag. If you ask me whether I would prefer the Moisturecore or the Ultra-Rich formulas ? I would say Ultra-Rich formula win my heart but the Moisturecore range has colors that are more of what I am comfortable wearing on a daily basis. 🙂

Pieno Sole is a cream cheek color. But it works for me like a highlighter. It goes really smooth on the skin and it doesn’t emphasize pores. The texture is very light-weight, it blends very well with fingers , sets and stays on for a long time without fading. The compact feels very good in hands, well made, comes with a white pouch too.
