Hey all lovely people!!! Today I am going to review Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza. Since warmer weather is here to stay for some more time, my regular lip stash is filled with bright shades. The colors range from pinks, reds, corals, oranges and even purples. But, there is something so tempting about shades with mixed tones that I get bored of plain one-dimensional colors, however pretty they are. Yes, I am a spoilt woman!! 😉 Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza is one such lipstick that has such beautiful mix of shades that you just can’t get over it.
Product Description:
‘A Semi Matte Lipstick. More than a lipstick, the new accessory for women’s lips. The first lipstick in genuine leather, soft and supple to the touch, for a sensual feeling. A real small leather goods accessory for a woman to have in her bag.’
Price: 36 $USD
Packaging
Can I just declare that the packaging of Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza is the most sassy I have ever seen?? I mean, just look at the lipstick. The sleek leather case, the silver stud at the bottom and the logo imprinted on the bullet of the lipstick are some of the prettiest things that I have seen in a lipstick packaging. The kind of attention this lipstick gets among my friends is just unbelievable. 😉
Not just the packaging, Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza boasts of an equally stunning lip shade. The lipstick is described as ‘bright reddish pink’ by the company. It is definitely a bright shade of reddened pink with warm undertones. In certain lights, it can even look reddish coral. The lipstick has a semi-matte finish, which translates into a lovely sheen on the lips. It does turn more matte as time passes, but never a true matte.
Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza is so richly pigmented that you will actually stop, in middle of applying it, to just stare at the saturated color. One stroke has such color and radiance that I can easily declare it as an intensely pigmented lipstick. The texture is super rich and creamy as it has beeswax and hyaluronic acid to keep your lips feeling smooth and hydrated. It is comfortable like a lip balm, but without any stickiness. The only average thing about Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza is its staying power. No, it is not very bad. It is just that you start expecting big things out of such an awesome product. The lipstick stays put for 4-5 hours and fades away with drinks and meals. It does leave behind a very light stain that fades away evenly.
Pros:
- A bold warm pink with strong red undertones.
- Brightens up the face in an instant.
- Intense pigmentation.
- Rich and creamy texture.
- Super hydrating for the lips.
- Feels light on the lips.
- Luminous shine.
- Will suit all skin tones.
- Very sleek leather packaging.
Cons:
- Average staying power not in lines with the price tag.
Rating: 4.75/5
Overall, Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in Magnolia Organza is the most expensive lipstick I own and also, the most beautiful. The packaging, shade, texture and pigmentation will make any lipstick maniac swoon with delight. The average staying power can surely be ignored in such a scenario. Highly recommended!!!
