I was in search for good bronzer cum contouring powder; I saw many makeup artists/youtubers use MAC Harmony for contouring. I tried at store just in case to see if it’s really showing on my skin tone, the soft and subtle effect it gives is easy for daily use. I love the soft shadow it creates under my cheekbone and jaw line…I was actually looking for a good bronzer for a long time, tried many but nothing impressed me, I tried Benefit Hoola but that was too light for my liking. I need something which is less orange and balanced for Indian skin tone, something which looks natural on skin. I wanted to pick TBS honeycomb bronzer but damn we only have shade 1 and 2, and both were not showing up on my skin tone. MAC harmony definitely a multi-usage product; one can use it as contouring cheekbones; jaw line and nose, also as an eye shadow on crease as transition shade etc.

MAC describes “Harmony” as muted rose –beige brown in matte finish. Honestly I don’t know how to describe Harmony but it is definitely don’t have orange undertone. It is medium tone neutral brown with matte finish. MAC Harmony is one of the popular blush used for contouring purpose. Traditionally, contour shades have a cooler tone to mimic shadows. Contouring involves in shading your face results in slimmed face, defined cheekbone and sharp features. When I was at MAC store, MUA applied harmony on my crease as a transition shade and it does works really well.
Pigmentation with MAC products are always overwhelming, they are highly pigmented, smooth in texture and blends really well into skin I don’t have to go over and over to blend MAC blushes however with Harmony I need to apply couple of times for it to show up. . In my pic below I applied twice under cheekbone, Sorry that my camera didn’t do the justice but I am sure you can still notice the difference. This is one shade which suits numerous skin tones from light to medium to tan skin tone.
The texture is smooth and so easy to apply that it made me want to try another Mac blush next time 😉 the excellent blendable formula is great for. Quantity requires is very less, the other MAC blushes that I have, looks new and unused although I have been regularly using it for couple of months now. MAC blushes last whole day unless you remove it yourself, that’s what the quality of the product. I brought the refill pan and the pot contains same net quantity of 6gm, the only difference is I need to place the refill in a separate palette.

- Suits many skin colour from light to medium to tan.
- Last whole day.
- Blends easily with no harsh line.
- Texture is soft and smooth.

Cons
- I don’t find anything to dislike about this blush except MAC price. It’s definitely hurting everyone’s pocket.
Finally I found a multi-purpose product that can be used for so many things; it’s time to act smart when MAC is going insane with price tag. A perfect blush which can be use for contouring as well as eye shadow. If you haven’t tried MAC blushers yet I highly recommend them!
