Long time no see makeupholics ,but when I came back, its with another exciting pink lipstick, this time – it is the limited edition lipstick from MAC heirloom collection ,which comes in all glittery and shimmery Christmas-y packaging, named no faux pas, which hands down is THE MOST beautiful pink lipstick I have to myself, like lets be real, all the lipsticks that I have are either pink or orange, and this is the most beautiful lipstick of all of them. Having blabbered a lot, lets move on to the review
What MAC says:
The lipstick with colour plus texture that made M∙A∙C famous. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street. Encased in limited-edition black packaging flecked with silver sparkles.
Color:
In the tube it looks a rather warm pink and leans towards red, but on the lips it looks like some gorgeous delicate hot pink with a balance of red and blue undertones ,leaning more toward blue.
Texture:
It is a matte finish lipstick ,but a creamy matte not drying matte, in these winters that my lips are soo dry ,it still doesn’t feel flaky at all, but I do suggest to apply a lip balm 5 minutes prior to application ,just to smoothens out the lip lines.
Pigmentation:
Opaque in swipe, no tugging no pulling, even the most pigmented lips would be done in one swipe, now since my lips aren’t pigmented that much, even if I apply a generous coat and ,u lower lip and then press my lips together , it evenly deposits colour on the upper lip, all nice and even J
Packaging : Oh so glittery and so holiday like, it has a black shiny tube with silver sparkles, the packaging is so beautiful, so girly, I could like buy 10 tubes just for the packaging, but as the outer look feels pretty when you actually touch or feel the plastic, it somehow feels not very classy and you do feel the glitter texture ,when you touch the tube. But overall its very pretty. And yay – Finally, MAC come up with a special packaging for a limited edition product, because for the past year most of the limited editions product from MAC were being released with normal packaging ,which I was kind of hating.

Pros:
- The most beautiful pink colour.
- My favourite matte finish
- Super duper long wearing time
- Doesn’t dry my lips
- Such a beautiful packaging
- Yummy dummy classic MAC vanilla fragrance.
- Oh I loveeeeeee this colourrrrrr, I cant stop saying this.
Cons:
- Just the availability , it is limited edition MAC should make this in the permanent collection
Maybe the price also, but I am not really sure if 1650 INR, hurts me or not for this gorgeous unicorn colour
My overall thoughts: No faux pas is characterized as a hot pink. On my lips, it appears as a cool bright fuchsia pink with a matte finish. It went on for 7 hours of wear on me, even with eating and drinking. It left a pinkish stain on my lips throughout the rest of the day. It is actually a great matte lipstick formula. Mac has been consistent on their latest matte lipsticks releases lately. It is a non drying, non hydrating formula. It does have very minimum transfer. Prior lip prep with a gentle exfoliation and a hydrating balm is always a must before applying any matte lipstick .The shade looks super duper similar to the good kisser lipstick from the novel romance collection, but this has more of a blue undertone, and looks more flattering on me, I don’t know why this lipstick didn’t receive as much hype as the good kisser , but I do tend to love it way more than good kisser .I will just tell you a little secret here, when I first applied it, and then I applied it again and then again. In 2 days I applied it so many times, I love the shade so much and now I am afraid what will I do if this tube finishes up, now I want to stock one more of this tube, but my bad that it is out of stock
Ratings: 5/5

No doubt once again a wonderful review for MAC lipstick.
I like the color, but I personally think this won’t go with my skin tone.
You have fair color and it looks great on you.
